It may come as a surprise to many, but the huge exercise database available at http://www.elevationfit.com/exercises is only a small part of what we’re developing. Rather I should say, “what we have already developed,” because we’re ready for a public test run.
What is the Elevation application, you ask? Briefly, it is client management for personal trainers (or anyone, for that matter). You define body attributes, set goals, find exercises to build workout programs using our huge database that includes form cue images and descriptions of each, and then track your progress. Clients or their trainers can login and track data, and message each other. See: http://www.elevationfit.com/tour
Letting our personal trainer friends and our family test the application is one thing–they are generally nice and courteous–turning it loose on the public is quite another.
We want your help beta testing the Elevation application.
Here is our schedule, as it stands right now.
March 15th, 2010:
This is the launch of our Private Beta. Private, meaning we don’t want to allow thousands of accounts just yet. To get in on the Private Beta, simply fill out the request form (name & e-mail is all we ask for). Some time after March 15th, you will receive an e-mail inviting you to register your account and begin using the application.
Before we mention pricing, let’s first clarify what is free. Elevation is 100% free for “clients” and individuals using our application for themselves (and K-12 schools). Furthermore, Personal Trainers with five or fewer clients may also use Elevation for free.
May 1st, 2010:
The Private Beta phase is complete, and Public Beta begins. We will start allowing anyone to register for a free (or paid) account. If you were a Private Beta tester, you’re still free until June 1st, regardless of how many clients you’re managing.
June 1st, 2010:
Beta ends, and we’re live.
Recap:
The Elevation application is designed to provide the latest in client management capabilities, and currently allows you to:
- Build exercise programs from our large database of scientifically based exercises
- Track progress and goal completion of yourself and your clients
- Report results efficiently
- Communicate with clients about progress, and keep in touch
These are the features we’re wanting to field test and ensure are 100% stable. Would you like to get a free preview of Elevation’s amazing software? All we ask is that you provide feedback every once in a while about your experience using the application.
If you’re interested in being a Private Beta tester, please fill out the simple request form. Before we start activating accounts, we will have a full walk-through style tutorial video showing you exactly how to use the application (on our Tour page). Again, here is that link:
