Elevation Is Blogging

While we here at Elevation Fitness did get out from behind the computers, there was still plenty of work accomplished over the weekend.

Currently we are gearing up for the review with our advisor on 10th of September and then Guido Van Ryssegem the Coordinator/Clinical Athletic Trainer at Oregon State University on the 11th of September.  As of today, we only have the Sales and Marketing and Operations sections left to finish in the business plan.  It is our hopes that we can finish these by mid afternoon tomorrow so that we can get some sleep on Wednesday night.

We continue to make rapid progress with the UI overhaul of our alpha version of the application.  SightWorks has done a phenomenal job of taking what I thought was a good polished application, and turning the concepts, functionality, and feature sets into works of art.  (Just goes to show you never let and engineer design a user interface.)  My hat is off to their ability to hit the ground running on such a complex project, and not only intelligently challenge our current mindsets but also develop kick butt concepts that take our UI out of this world.  Tomorrow we have a meeting with them to start reviewing the second set of wireframes and review the schedule for the Nov 1st release.

Within the next week, we are anticipating the second and final revision of the iPhone application.  The designers, Code-Monkeys, did a great job of taking our concepts and applying them to the first revision of the application.  I really feel that we are almost there with a high value added application.  Both Dave Schwendiman and I feel that Fitness Professional will love the time saving functionality.

Over the next couple of weeks, Elevation Fitness will be taking some very large steps as an organization; we will be pulling together the business plan and presentation, and hitting the road with intentions of finding venture capital money or corporate investors.  Regardless of the type of funds, this is a very major move for an organization that has been internally funded thus far.

Well, those are the updates for now.  I hope that everyone enjoys their week and remembers to keep their physical, mental, and social wellbeing in balance.  Take care and till next time.
